This project demonstrates how standard RGB drone imagery can be transformed into actionable crop insights, including bare-spot mapping and vegetation density analysis (VARI). While not intended for precision agriculture, the workflow mirrors real-world applications for identifying crop stress, optimizing field management, and tracking seasonal changes. It is ideal for small- to mid-sized farms, agricultural cooperatives, and farm management consultants seeking fast, affordable aerial mapping for field assessment, as well as agricultural extension services, environmental consultants, and land managers needing visual documentation for research or compliance. Even with standard RGB sensors, the ability to generate orthomosaics, pinpoint bare areas, and assess vegetation density provides a valuable tool for monitoring crop health, optimizing inputs, and improving yield outcomes over time.Â
