Overview
This project involves flying over agricultural land to generate a stitched RGB map of the field. While this project uses standard RGB imagery (vs. multispectral), it demonstrates UAV application in crop monitoring and field assessment. Not intended for precision ag or regulatory analysis.
Objectives
Fly an automated grid mission over a crop field
Capture consistent imagery with proper overlap
Generate an orthomosaic using WebODM
Visually assess vegetation variation and crop condition
Tools & Methods
DJI Mavic Series
WebODM (orthomosaic processing)
QGIS for image overlay and annotation
Results
Orthomosaic of crop field
Basic interpretation notes or visual observations
Exported map layout with field boundaries
Drone Used: DJI Mavic 3E
Altitude: 70 meters AGL
Area Covered: 11.6 acres
Flight Duration: 11 minutes and 41 seconds
Software Used: DJI Pilot 2, WebODM, QGIS
